Sit ups – do they Work?

Is the good old sit-up no good for getting better abs, or even a six-pack abs? That’s really not the case and there are many variations that are very hard on your abs.

These days the good old sit-up seems to be out of fashion, some say that their back get hurt by doing it, others hate it for some other reason and the rest enjoy more of crunches and other more pleasant ab exercises. The truth of the matter is that sit-ups are great  – if you go to almost any martial-arts or wrestling club and look what they do for training their abs, you can see it is some form of sit up. Usually I don’t like those rocking movements or waving arms for easier sit-ups, but at the very beginning when you can’t do a single sit-up I think these cheats have their place.
